Yanomamo
N's school had their big Yanomamo production last night. N had a solo recorder part and a solo singing part. The production was a great success. N performed brilliantly. It was held in Narodni Minor which is a beautiful little theatre in the centre of Prague.

N isn't actually learning the recorder any more, they just gave her the music and practised a few times at school(it was pretty basic). She knows more than the teacher at the school-they only teach beginners. Her friend Martha in Aus is learning the sax, but they won't teach the kids sax until they are 10 here. N really wants to learn, so I might try and find one for her as the fingering is suppose to be similar.
They said it was a weight issue, but I thought she could play around with it on her bed, in a non serious way so that she doesn't forget what she has learnt. She refuses to learn the clarinet. She is passionate about a sax for some reason? The school has a sax that no one will be using next year(Sept)- as the teacher using it is going back to England. I'll try and lend that and see how the fingering goes.
