What Commonwealth Games ?

Europe has definitely poo pooed the Commonwealth Games. EuroNews, BBC, CNN or cable sport providers just don't mention it at all. Maybe the're sick of the Aussies kicking their arses !

I thought the poms would at least have highlights of some of their wins (not too many though). Down under heathens are most likely getting bombarded with live coverage, highlights, newspaper media & non-stop podium music.

Anyway, so what the Euros watch, in order.........

1. Motor Racing (F1 & bikes)
2. Football
3. Winter sports
4. Tennis
5. Rugby (yes, seems that this is really catching on now)

Anyway, might go and find a pub and watch Liverpool & Newcastle United this afternoon. J is studying & N is at a b'day bowling party.

Tales of the Manager Phonk & 'A' Grade Student

J is now half way through her TEFL course & on track to pass with flying colours. Wasn't a doubt in my mind :-) It's funny, when first started going out with J while she was at Uni, all those many years ago, I can still remember her style of study. Paper piles all through the house, stressing out & staying up to 2-3am everyday until the work was completed. Then paranoia that she's not done well. Of course, high distinctions all round ! Well, nothing has changed after 20 years. We've turned back the clock - last weekend was classic stress monster situation whilst bringing her first assignment together. Piles of paper, panic and then euphoria when she got a big fat 'A'.

As for the big fat manager phonk, he received his new tablet PC (HP tc4200), hiring & firing, lots of Merlot/Tequila and looking at his grey stubble in the mirror wondering where has 20 years gone ! Oh well, couple more weeks & Paris here we come. Need a big fat holiday.

Btw, New York position was a flop. After 15 minutes speaking to the person I'd report too, I quickly figured out she's a psycho marketing New Yorker that could kill you in one thousand words.

N is at school on a Saturday practising for the new theatre production - Bugsy Malone. She's a real drama queen, even practises her lines during toilet time & she doesn't stink - excuse the pun.
